Petr Paulczynski (senior ruling Civic Democrats, ODS), opposition member of Brno authority, posts racist texts on his website, including texts of the far-right National Party (NS), the regional issue of daily Denik writes today.
The website also offers jokes hinting at Romanies.

Representatives of Romany associations have criticised Paulczynski for this.

"I’ve never seen anything like this on a political website before. He must have been crazy to post it on his website." Katarina Klamkova, head of IQ Roma servis, told Denik.

Paulczynski dismissed the allegation that he was a racist. He just wanted to provoke a public discussion, he told the paper. He said he did not identify with the texts of the extraparliamentary National Party.

Brno analyst Miroslav Mares said the case supports speculations about links between the Civic Democrats and the National Party.

Mares pointed to a meeting between ODS leader Mirek Topolanek and NS chairwoman Petra Edelmannova in 2005.
"This case would fit into the trend. Some ODS supporters like such views," Mares told the paper.
