The leadership of the Statewide Association of Romani People in the Czech Republic (Celostátní asociace Romů v ČR – CAR ČR) will meet on 3 April with Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka and with Czech Minister for Human Rights, Equal Opportunities and Legislation Jiří Dienstbier. Cyril Koky of the CAR ČR informed news server Romea.cz of the planned meeting.

Stanislav Daniel, Vladimír Galbavý, Cyril Koky and Miroslav Malík will participate on behalf of the CAR ČR. "We are glad the Prime Minister has made time for us and we are not coming to the meeting empty-handed. We have drafted our own proposed measures for how to approach the policy of integrating Romani people into society. The proposal is our view of how to address key areas in the life of the Romani population in the Czech Republic," Koky told news server Romea.cz.

"We expect the current Government of the Czech Republic to show determination and a genuine political will to fully address this issue. We also expect the Government of the Czech Republic to undertake specific steps, particularly in the areas of adopting a law on social housing, efficiently drawing EU funds for the 2014-2020 programming period, and improving the education of Romani children, employment in excluded Romani localities, and security," Koky said.
