Czech Republic: Drunken man attacks Romani people in Tábor
On Friday shortly after 5 PM a municipal police patrol was called to the scene of an incident on Lužnická street in Tábor when a drunk and disorderly man assaulted Romani residents in front of an apartment building there. The 40-year-old assailant had physically attacked several other people prior to the incident.
News server Tábordnes.cz reports the assailant did not calm down after officers arrived, continuing to escalate the already tense situation. A state police patrol was called to the scene to escort him to the station. Municipal officers then took him to the Anti-Alcohol Interception Station (Protialkoholní záchytné stanice).
