The second annual Romani Charity Ball took place on Friday, 20 March 2015 in the House of Culture in Ústí nad Labem, raising CZK 50 000 (EUR 1 820) for children living in a children’s home there. Mayor Josef Zikmund gave his auspices to the ball and contributed CZK 10 000 from his own fund, while those in attendance collected the remaining CZK 40 000.

"We have succeeded in collecting the amount we aimed for. I am beyond satisfied. The number of people attending the ball was magnificent. We had brilliant guests and famous performers for them. In short, we have succeeding in throwing a posh dance for people both extraordinary and ordinary, and together we have given a present to the children in the children’s home and helped their wishes come true," Jan Cibrik, one of the organizers of the ball, told news server Romea.cz,"because we wanted to show that charity comes in many colors, we wanted to support a good cause."

"We actually did not expect this, it’s a lot of money and I was very pleasantly surprised," Alena Novotná, director of the children’s home, told Czech Television. The money will evidently be used by the children for their vacation, during which they may go to Spain.
