Czech Republic: Romani students meet with CoE Human Rights Commissioner

A round table was held in Prague this week between those involved in the D.H. case, Romani student representatives, First Deputy Education Minister Jiří Nantl, and Council of Europe Human Rights Commissioner Nils Muižnieks. The round table was held under the auspices of the Vice-Chair of the Czech Senate, Alena Gajdůšková. Those attending reviewed the failures and successes to date in executing the D.H. judgment and ensuring equal access to education for Romani children.

Representatives of European institutions, international and national organizations, representatives of the Romani minority and people (children) living with disabilities attended the round table. The event was organized by the Open Society Foundations and the Open Society Fund Prague.
