News server iDNES.cz has reported that the 15-year-old boy who was beaten up in the center of Břeclav last month evidently did not tell the truth at first to police and has now changed his testimony. The boy first claimed that three Romani men had attacked him because he refused to give them a cigarette. He later said that only one of them was definitely Romani and that he never saw the other two. Now he is said to have admitted that the reason for the attack could have been a customer’s dissatisfaction with the quality of the marijuana he was selling.

A source close to the investigation has told news server iDNES.cz the motive for the attack could have been the marijuana sold by the boy. One of the buyers was not satisfied with its quality and decided to take it out on the bou. “That is one of the versions the officers are working on, but it’s not the only one,” another source has confirmed.

“I cannot comment on this information,” Regional Police spokesperson Petra Vedrová told news server iDNES.cz. Police are still looking for the assailants.

News server Romea.cz will be reporting further on this case.
