International stipends for Romani college students open

The Roma Education Fund has announced its Romani International Stipend Program, which supports Romani students attending daily college studies at state-accredited universities in countries where the students are neither citizens nor residents. Those applying for the stipend to study abroad must be either citizens or permanent residents of one of the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey or Ukraine.

The stipend is being awarded for the 2012-2013 academic year. Applications can only be made online through the official website of the Roma Education Fund, www.romaeducationfund.hu. Since this is an international program, all information and the online application are available only in English.

PLEASE NOTE – the deadline for filing applications with the international program is 15 August 2012! No applications will be accepted after the deadline!!!
