Large group of drunk radicals attack police patrol in Brno
A large group of about 70 masked radicals attacked a police patrol car in Brno on Sunday after the patrol was alerted to the spot on the false pretext that someone was demolishing a police car there, Brno police spokesman Bohumil Malasek told CTK today.
Nine perpetrators were arrested during the incident. The police patrol had to call upon other units to help them cope with the attack by drunk radicals, Malasek said.
The detained persons face charges of hooliganism, attacking a public official and causing damage to other people's property, he said.
None of the policemen were injured during the attack but two police cars were damaged and a window of a nearby hotel was broken, Malasek said.
The damage has not yet been calculated, he added.
