PHOTO GALLERY: Commemorative ceremony at Lety u Písku, Czech Republic 2022

Yesterday at Lety u Písku the traditional commemorative ceremony honoring the Holocaust and its Romani and Sinti victims was held at the site of the burial ground for some of the prisoners who died in the local concentration camp there. As usual, the ceremony was organized by the Committee for the Redress of the Roma Holocaust (VPORH), headed by Čeněk Růžička, in collaboration with the Museum of Romani Culture and its specialized workplace, the Centre for the Roma and Sinti in Prague.
The commemorative ceremony was attended by the President of the Czech Senate, Miloš Vystrčil (Civic Democratic Party - ODS), Czech Culture Minister Martin Baxa (ODS), Deputy Prime Minister Ivan Bartoš (Pirates), former Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg (TOP 09), Christian Democratic (KDU-ČSL) MP Hayato Okamura and many ambassadors to the Czech Republic.
