Exhibition “The Holocaust Against Roma and Sinti”
The exhibition seeks to impart a greater appreciation of the past, 500,000 Roma and Sinti Holocaust victims, and to help to overcome current situation of Roma in Europe. More then 150 person (Roma Holocaust survivors, Governmental representatives, international organizations, human rights organizations, Roma NGO’s, Mass media), visited the official opening of the Exhibition. Exposition will be held during 2 weeks in Ukrainian house. The exposition consists from archival documents and materials from the period of the WW II.
On 30 January 2007 official opening of the Exhibition was held in United Nations office in New-York, and in 2006 it was opened in Council of Europe (Strasbourg), that is why the opening of the Exhibition in Ukraine is not only cultural and historical event but also important political event.
