Slovak police accuse Czech man of attacking Romanies
On Tuesday, a 21-year-old man from Krupina, central Slovakia, was accused of propagation of fascism, instigation of racial intolerance and causing bodily harm.
According to unconfirmed information, the Czech police also prosecute the Czech man over a similar criminal offence.
Slobodnik said another four Czech citizens and other Slovaks may also be accused in connection with the attack.
The accused face up to three years in prison, if found guilty.
The police say the extremists threatened the Romanies they will beat them unless they leave the celebrations, and shouted Nazi slogans.
When the Romanies did not leave, the extremists physically attacked them. Two of the Romanies suffered lighter injuries.
The police also accused a 34-year-old man from Banska Stiavnica of propagation of groups tending to suppress fundamental rights and freedoms.
The man wore a jacket with Nazi symbols and he also faces up to three years in prison, if found guilty, Slobodnik said.
