Two Slovak 17-year-old boys who sprayed a school gymnasium and fence with Nazi symbols and slogans on Saturday face up to four years in prison if they were found guilty, Renata Cuhakova, spokeswoman for the Slovak police, told CTK today.

The police arrested the boys soon after the crime was reported and the boys confessed to it to the investigators.

A similar case was reported in Filakovo, central Slovakia, at an elementary school, but police shelved the case because of the the perpetrators’ low age.

Under Slovak law, such promotion of Nazism may be punished from four to eight years in prison. However, the length of the prison stay is usually halved in cases of youths.
