German court sentences neo-Nazi to life in prison

11.7.2018 17:43 Beate Zschäpe, the main defendant in the trial of members of the National Socialist Underground, a neo-Nazi group, will spend the rest of her life in a German prison according to a sentence handed down against her today by the High Court in the state of Munich, who found her guilty of 10 murders. Deutsche-Presse Agentur reported that her co-defendant Ralf Wohlleben, who supplied the group with weapons, was given a 10-year sentence.  full story

Wales: Young Traveller Accused of 1976 Murder May Get His Name Cleared

12.7.2017 10:55 British media are reporting that 40 years after Noel Jones, a man of  Gypsy and Traveller heritage, was convicted of murdering a 15-year-old girl in 1976, the case has been reopened because DNA tests link another suspect to the murder. Jones was an illiterate 18-year-old when he was picked up by police and allegedly coerced into confessing to the rape and murder of Janet Commins.

USA: African-American sniper kills five white police officers in Dallas after two African-American civilians killed by police elsewhere

9.7.2016 22:58 An armed African-American sniper identified as Micah Xavier Johnson, 25, of Mesquite, Texas, a military veteran who served in Afghanistan, killed five police officers in Dallas, Texas and injured six more during an otherwise peaceful demonstration on 7 July against police violence being committed against African-Americans.
