On Wednesday 13.9 at 15:00 CET a press conference was held to launch the campaign called "A Home and Security for All" ("Bezpečí a domov všem"). A public service announcement telling the stories of people who have fled Ukraine since the full-fledged invasion of 2022 for the Czech Republic was debuted, which the Romodrom NGO helped produce through a project in collaboration with UNICEF.

ROMEA TV broadcast the press conference and subsequent debate among experts live online. While the main public service announcement of the campaign uses actors, it also features real footage showing the complicated journeys of Romani refugees from the ongoing war.

The story in the public service announcement represents the ideal, target state that the implementers of the project want to achieve. Other PSAs tell real stories about refugees from Ukraine.

More than six million people have been forced to flee their homes by the war. Tens of thousands of Romani people are among them who have encountered many obstacles on their way to seeking a safe harbor, ranging from discrimination to hate motivated by racism.

Currently there are a few thousand Romani refugees from Ukraine in the Czech Republic. All of the PSAs will be available through the social media profiles of the ROMEA and Romodrom organizations and also on the dedicated website bezpeciadomov.cz where there are also more stories about other refugees from Ukraine which illustrate how difficult such a journey can become when seeking a new home and a sense of security.
